Animation that stands out.
Suspect 7 is a digital studio that has been specializing in animated videos, science communication, mobile app development for over 10 years.
Here are some areas that we specialize in.
This covers a lot of ground – from vector based animation to frame-by-frame animation.
Designing, rigging, and animating characters is an art unto itself! Most of our character work is in 2D animation.
Graphic design with movement. Think less character focused, more shapes, objects, and type.
This can be a very useful tool. We tend to use 3D for simple concepts, or to subtly embellish mostly 2D animations.
Strategy & Script
Hunter has used his marketing expertise to craft hundreds of projects with goal driven scripts & strategies.
Custom Android App development, primarily done in Unity.
Suspect 7 keeps only one full-time employee – Hunter Koerner (he/him). That’s not to say I don’t work with a huge range of talented artists!
Because Suspect 7 takes on a variety of different projects, I like to bring on talent as-needed to make our creative team is hand picked to suit your needs.
For my part, I’ve been working in animation and design for 15+ years, and have been the creative lead on hundreds of projects, including videos, VR experiences, and mobile apps. I have a B.Sc. from Ohio University’s School of Media Arts & Studies, and a Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University.

We specialize in creating animated videos. Most of our work has been explainer videos, social media content, tv spots, science communication, educational programming, narrative programs and demo videos – but if there’s something outside that realm you’re interested in creating, we’re always open to new challenges!
Not typically – we prefer to stick with our specialties! We do have trusted production partners we work with should the need arise. If in doubt, feel free to reach out! If the project isn’t a good fit for us we’ll be happy to refer you to someone better suited for your project’s needs.
There’s a lot of factors at play in the cost of a video, including length, complexity, style, and usage. With us, a custom 2D animated video typically runs between $6,000 – $18,000. That includes concept & style development, scriptwriting, storyboarding, asset creation, animation, VO casting and recording, and sound design.
We’re also happy to help you get the most out of your budget – for instance, package pricing for a series of videos can really help you get the most out of your budget.
A lot of factors at play here as well – primarily video complexity & feedback turnaround time. Our production process is designed to minimize surprises, so in general, you can expect production to take 6-8 weeks.
If you have a project that needs a tighter timeline, it’s still worth reaching out. We may able to accommodate quicker turnarounds depending on your specific needs!
Just reach out and let us know what you’re after!
Once we have a pretty good sense of your needs, we can put together a full proposal for you. Once approved, we’ll send over our standard production agreement & an initial invoice for 50%. Then we’ll schedule a kick off call and get to work.
You can! We have worked with many agencies and in-house production departments in the past. In these cases, we think of our job as doing whatever we can to make your life easier.
You can hand off a brief & let us take it from there. You can hand us boards & approved assets and have us bring them to life. You can even hand over a picture locked edit & ask for a motion graphics treatment.
We begin with strategy & working with you to get a full sense of your needs & goals. From there, we begin a production process with built-in checkpoints throughout to make sure we’re all up to speed & on the same page. For a full breakdown of our process, check out our services page.
Android apps, primarily. We work mostly done in Unity, which means in many cases we’re able to also port out an iOS version of the app if needed.
Our focus is on smaller scale apps, often focused on training and science communication.
And here we come to our biggest range yet! There’s a huge number of factors at play, but in general, our apps have run $15,000 – $80,000.
